Club Notes 20th December 2020

St. Brigid's Notes week ending, December 20th 2020

Christmas and New Year wishes: St. Brigid’s would like to extend a very happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year to all its members in what has been a very challenging year for the club and community against the backdrop of Covid-19. Most importantly, the club wants to give a special mention to all club members who have assisted the more vulnerable in our community over the course of the year. As the year draws to a close, we want to thank all our dedicated volunteers, coaches and players who still invested so much time and effort to ensure it was another very successful year for the club on and off the pitch. All of this good work was done with safety as the number one priority for all our members and a sincere thank you to all who ensured that the health guidelines were followed at all times. As a club, we must continue to ensure that all our members continue to adhere to these guidelines to keep our members and community safe over this festive period. Nollaig Shona agus Athbhliain faoi Mhaise Daoibh.

Connacht MFC: Congrats to the Roscommon minors and our 6 club players, Conor Hand, Micheál Sugrue, Daniel Meeley, Bobby Nugent, Ronan Doyle and Daniel Keenan on a magnificent win against Galway in the Connacht MFC semi-final in Ballyhaunis on Friday night last. A special mention to Conor who finished the game's top scorer with 1-4.

Charity fundraiser: Well done to Edel Menton whose recent 5 night charity sleep-out in memory of her sister Bridgetta has raised more than €42,300 to date for 5 local charities. Well done also to all who donated in what was a lovely tribute to Bridgetta.
