U-8s: The U 8 team competed in the Willie Hegarty organised County Blitz at a very well organised St. Croans grounds. We played matches against strong opposition in the form of Roscommon Gaels, Strokestown and St. Dominics. The standard of football played by all the teams we competed against was of the highest standard for this age level. All the matches played were end to end stuff and done so at great speed. It was Shane “The Cake” Curran to Senan Kilbride style football. All  the players received medals for their great efforts and it bodes well for the future of Roscommon football. The team on the day was Niall Derwin, Cormac Meeley, Billly Ray Dolan, Noah Heavey, Robert Keenan, Kealon Casey, Thomas Muldoon, Donncadh O Reilly, Cillian Curley, Dara McGrath, Ewan Joyce, Roan Trundle, Luke Sylvester, Sean Tiernan, Sean Minnock, Niall Daly, Brendan Murphy, Michael Heneghan, Jamie Fox.
