St. Brigid’s GAA Club Notes 22nd February 2015

Registration Night

The club’s annual registration night takes
place on Friday night 27th February from 7-9pm. Membership for all
u18’s is €60 each, Adult non playing members €50, Adult playing members €80. It
is extremely important that all players, coaches and mentors are registered for
insurance reasons. Only fully paid members will be allowed to play, coach,
mentor or hold a position on any club committee.

Dinner Dance

The club dinner dance will take place on Saturday 21st March in the Hodson Bay
Hotel. Guest speaker on the night will be Paddy Carr, our new senior team’s
manager and music will be by the fantastic ‘Big Deal’.  Tickets on sale

Walking Group

Following on from the success of Operation
Transformation a walking group has being established which will hold walks
around St. Brigid’s walking track every Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights at
8pm. New members are welcome to join in. For more information contact Marie on

The Snug sponsored junior team were defeated
by Castlerea St. Kevin’s in Castlerea on Sunday last. Despite a late first half
goal it did not push our side on in the second half and unfortunately we only
managed to add two points to our tally.

Féile Peile na nÓg 2015 Fundraisers:

An U-13 team will be
competing at Féile Peile na nÓg, which will be held in Wexford at the end of

 ‘Monster Progressive 25 Card Game’,

Takes place on
Friday, March 13th at St Brigid’s Sports and Social Centre, Kiltoom.
€5,000 in prize money is up for grabs and admission is €25 per person.
Participants are guaranteed at least twenty games. This promises to be an
excellent night’s entertainment while being an important fundraiser for the
Féile. Please support if you can and if you don’t play cards, spread the news
about this once-off card-playing extravaganza!

‘5km Fun Run’

The 5km Fun
Run/Walk/Crawl takes place on Sunday 29th March at 11am from St.
Brigid’s GAA Clubhouse. Entry is €10 or €15 for a family. Registration begins
at 9.30am, with refreshments served afterwards. We encourage as many people as
possible to join us for this event. 

U-8s: Training for
the U-8 grade (outdoors) and the nursing programme (indoors) take place on
Saturdays at 11 am.

8pm at the pitch. Training for U 16 girls is Wednesday evening at 8 at the
pitch. Training for U 14 girls is Monday Thursday evenings at 8 at the pitch.
Training for U 12 is on Tuesday evening at 7pm at the pitch. Training for U8s
& U10s continues indoor on Tuesday evening at 6.30 for U8 and 7.30 for U10
at clubhouse.
