U16 Division 1 and 4

Our U16 Div 1 lads played Kilbride last Tuesday in Kilbride and we had a strong team out. We were in control throughout and finished with a comprehensive victory. Best for Brigids was Hughie Cunniffe
Our Div 4 lads played Clann on Sunday morning in Johnstown and this was always going to be a well contested affair. It was 1/6 to 4 at half time for Clann. We had long periods of possession in the second half and were unlucky not to convert more. Clann finished well throughout and the game finished on a scoreline of 1/17 to 10 points.

U16 Girls

St. Brigid’s 6-15, Eire Og 3-7.

Our u16 girls travelled to Loughglynn on Sunday last to take on Eire Og. After a tough first half the girls found their feet for the second half and came away comprehensive winners.

U16 County Girls

A big congratulations to the u16 County girls and their management on winning the Connacht Final. A special congratulations to our own girls Ria Lennon, Áine McGrath, Marion Nolan and the Captain of the team Abby Curran.

CBS Roscommon

Congratulations to the CBS Roscommon on their fantastic All Ireland win on Saturday last in Croke Park.

St. Brigid’s 4-11, Clann na nGael 2-14.

Our senior side recorded their second victory in the league on Wednesday night last in Kiltoom beating neighbours Clann na nGael in Kiltoom. This was a high scoring game with the goals being the deciding factor. Brian Derwin had a superb game scoring 2-7 on the night.

Junior A League

St. Brigid’s 4-13, Ballinameen 1-11.

Our Junior side travelled to Ballinameen on Saturday evening last to take on the home side. Despite going in at half time down by 5 points 1-6 to 0-4, Brigid’s pulled the game back and out classed the home side in the second half. There was brilliant performances throughout the field in the second half and some lovely scores from Donnchadh Gately, Billy McDonnell, Ciaran O’Reilly, Ciaran Sugrue and Adrian Gleeson.
