Club Notes 28th June 2020
Return to play
After a three month absence, the club was delighted to re-open its pitches to a safe return to training for our players and coaches. Our adult teams commenced training from last Wednesday with a gradual return of all other teams. In conjunction with the executive, a designated club Covid committee and a club Covid Officer have been working very hard to ensure there is full compliance in relation to GAA’s guidelines on return to play procedures.
We are asking everyone to please take note of the club’s guidelines in relation to a safe return to play along with the importance of the GAA's online e-learning module and health questionnaire, which all participants must complete before returning. All information relating to areas such as training protocols and pitch access is published on the club’s communication channels.
Safety of our players, coaches, club personnel, parents and our community is paramount now training activity has resumed. In return, we are asking everyone to work and co-operate with us fully to ensure that all Covid-19 guidelines and club notices are adhered to in order to keep everyone safe.
We are also pleased that the Academy is starting back this week with strict guidelines as outlined by the GAA so please make sure you contact your group team manager before arriving at training. It is important to remember that to be eligible to play, you must be a registered club member. Membership can be paid online at www.stbrigids.gaa.ie or it can be organised through relevant club personnel. Please not that the club has changed its registration fees for all U-10s for the remainder of this year. For those who have yet to register at this grade, the new fee for U-10s is €40. The club has also agreed that there will be a discount of €20 in 2021 for parents who registered any U-10 child in 2020 where a registration fee of €60 was paid. The registration fee of €60 will remain for 11-18 year olds.
The walking track is now open as normal and we ask that all users continue to maintain social distancing.
We are still collecting bags of unwanted clothes, shoes, bags, belts and bed linen. Dressing room 6 at the back of the clubhouse is open every afternoon for bag drop offs.
