St. Brigid’s Academy

The St. Brigid’s Academy will commence on Wednesday 6th February at 6pm in St. Brigid’s GAA Club. The academy is open to all boys and girls born in the years 2013 and 2014 to sample Gaelic Football in a safe, inclusive, fun and friendly environment. Initially we intend to run a six week indoor programme with these aspiring GAA superstars. This programme will focus on the Fundamental movement skills of Gaelic footblal: Agility, Balanec and Coordination delivered through a range of fun interactive games. Following the completion of the indoor programme we will move outdoors for the remainder of the season.
Children should wear a tracksuit and runners and bring a bottle of water to keep hydrated.
If you need any more information you are more than welcome to come down on Wednesday nights and talk to any of our coaches. Tea and coffee will be available to parents each night and of course parents are more than welcome to use our facilities such as the walking track and outdoor exercise machines.

Operation Transformation

As the weather had taken a colder turn many people are taking to indoors activities. The Hodson Bay Hotel has offered some complimentary classes to locals which will be great to keep up exercises. Also we will try do group walks at the pitch on Monday and Thursday evenings weather permitting. There’s loads of great activity going on so please keep up the good work. You have my number so if people want instructors etc to be organised please let me know.
