With both teams playing it tight the half ended with us ahead 1/8 to 1/5. On the resumption Kilmore came right into it and we were level with 10 mins to go. Senior Championship

St. Brigid’s 2-12, Western Gaels 2-12.

Our Hodson Bay Hotel sponsored senior team were lucky to come away from Athleague on Sunday last with a draw. After leading by 7 points at one stage in the first half, Western Gaels tightened up on us and ensured the rest of the game was a much closer affair. In fact St. Brigid’s only got the equaliser in the last minute of injury time. For a full match report please see the sports section of local papers.

Many thanks to everyone in Athleague for their hospitality on Sunday and for having the pitch in such great condition.
