St. Brigid’s v Oran/St Croan’s

It may have been the first Minor league game of the year but it didn’t take long for St Brigid’s to shake off the cobwebs, putting in a super performance away to Oran/St Croan’s in Enfield last Sunday. With an early goal inside the first minute, Brigid’s took a stranglehold of the game which they never relinquished. Some of the play and movement was a joy to watch and while the forward line was firing on all cylinders, our defence was in magnificent form too with brilliant tackling cutting out the supply to the Oran/St Croan’s danger men time and time again. This all-round display from start to finish ensured we ran out convincing winners in the end. The performance was even more satisfying given the absence of some key players due to injury and sickness. Squad v Oran/St Croan’s: Evan Gallagher, Faolan Kennedy, Robbie Dolan, Liam Egan, Ciaran Quinn, Sean Trundle, Shane Keenan, Darragh Murray, Brian O’Hara Duggan, Luke O’Rourke, Eoghan Derwin, Shane Kelly, Cormac Canny, Jack Schouler, Ben O’Carroll. Subs used. Ultan O’Rourke, Brian Monaghan, Daniel, Butler, Michael Butler, Jack Ryan.
