Club Notes 19th July 2020
St Brigid’s club notes week ending July 19th 2020
Our men’s senior team commence their senior championship campaign on Saturday evening next against Clann na nGael at Hyde Park. Throw-in 7pm. We wish Benny, management and players the very best of luck. The club has decided that a draw for the limited ticket allocation for this SFC game will take place on Wednesday night, July 22nd at 8pm. All paid up adult members of the club will be entered into the draw for these tickets, priced €10. The draw will be broadcast live on the club's Facebook Page on Wednesday evening.
Given the expected same limited ticket allocation for our Round 2 SFC game away to Strokestown on Friday week and in the interests of being as fair as possible, it was also agreed that those names drawn out for the Clann game tickets will not be entered into the Round 2 SFC ticket draw.
We want to thank everyone for continuing to observe our Covid-19 protocols at the club. Given that a number of clubs around the country have ceased activity due to Covid-related concerns, we urge everyone to continue to take note of our health guidelines in relation to maintaining a safe environment for our players, mentors, members and our community.
The club is reminding everyone that it is essential that all players are registered in order to participate in training and club games. You can register online through our website facility, www.stbrigids.gaa.ie
As with all of our players at all grades, we remind all parents/guardians of players of the following important information in relation to Covid-19 protocols:
1. Parents/guardians of players must complete the online e-learning module:
https://www.gaa.ie/news/covid-19-club-education-elearning-module-launched-for-gaelic-games/ At the end of the module, you will receive a certificate that you email to email@example.com.
2. For underage players, parents are also asked to complete a health questionnaire for each child. Link to questionnaire: https://returntoplay.gaa.ie. This health questionnaire must be completed before each training session/game.
3. Ensure you are a registered club member. Due to GDPR, the GAA can only hold information such as the health questionnaire for registered members. To register go to the bottom of the club’s homepage, www.stbrigids.gaa.ie and click on club membership.
