Club Notes 10th May 2020

St. Brigid’s Run4Pieta

St. Brigid’s Run4Pieta will take place from Saturday 16th May from 530am to 530am Sunday 17th May. St. Brigid’s are going to run/walk/cycle in one hour slots keeping within the 5km guidelines of their homes to raise money for Pieta House.
We are encouraging as many people as possible to get involved and Walk in Darkness and in Light and contribute what you can to our fundraiser. Participants will run in consecutive slots for 24 hours straight, beginning at their own home and exercising for one hour within the 5km HSE guidelines.
The need for Pieta’s lifesaving services is greater than ever as COVID-19 impacts not only on the nation's physical health but its mental health too. As people find themselves worried, anxious, under strain, financially impacted and in many cases isolated and alone.
We are encouraging clubs/players/friends & family that join in the run in darkness and in light event to post on Instagram tagging using #DILSunriseAppeal #DIL2020. #run4pieta so we can raise awareness for Pieta and make a difference.
If you or your family would like to take part text your name and time slot that suits you to Áine on 086-3791294.
Time slots are a hour long beginning at 530am Saturday 16th May and ending at 530am Sunday 17th May. Each time slot starts every hour on the half hour as we want to incorporate the sunrise on both mornings in our Run4Pieta.
Please share and tag friends and family that will take part in this extremely worthy cause.
