Roscommon GAA Race Day 2014

The Roscommon GAA Race Day takes place on Tuesday 5th August in Roscommon Race course. Gates are open at 4.30pm and tickets are €20 each. Tickets include: Admission to the racecourse, a free betting voucher, finger food, Entry to the After Race Party in Carthy's Porter House, Entry in a draw for special prizes, meet and greet and photos with inter-county stars from all codes, prizes for best dressed Lady and Gent. 

Tickets available from all club executive members. 


St. Brigid’s GAA Club Annual Golf Classic 

The winners of the recent club golf classic were: 1st place-P.J Naughton, Declan Corcoran, Kevin Newcommen, Michael Ryan.

2nd: Kevin Daly, Ciaran O'Connor, Barry Murray, Eamon Glynn.

3rd: Frankie Donnelly, Cathal Donnelly, Eamon Higgins, Paul Hunter.

Tansey Cup

Junior League

St. Brigid's 1-15, Castlerea St. Kevin's 3-9.


Our junior team played Castlerea on Friday night last in Kiltoom in the Tansey Cup. Despite leading for the majority of the game, Castlerea fought back and we were lucky to secure a draw.

O'Rourke Cup

Senior League

St. Brigid's 2-15, St. Croan's 2-13.


Our senior men secured a two point victory in Enfield on Wednesday night last in the league.

Our senior men also played Strokestown on Sunday last in the league. They also won this game by two points.

Senior Ladies Championship

St. Brigid's 7-12, Oran 2-13.


Our senior ladies were victorious over Oran on Wednesday night last in Kiltoom.

Super Valu Kits for Clubs

Please continue to look for vouchers and put them in the St. Brigid's box in store. 

Throughout June and July Super Valu stores will be giving out vouchers with every €20 spent in their stores. In order for our club to available of the O'Neills training kit worth €1200 we need to collect 1000 vouchers. We are asking everyone that shops in Super Valu to please collect the tokens and pop them into the club boxes in store, so we can avail of this brilliant offer. Once again thank you for your continued support. 


Crime Fitness 

For women and men all fitness levels, it consists of Circuit training, Resistance training, Interval training, Military circuits and Endurance training. All newcomers are free on the first night and its 5 euro per session after that, pay as you go. Mondays and Thursday 7-8 pm in St. Brigids Clubhouse. Club Lotto

St. Brigid's GAA Club is delighted to announce that our weekly lotto is now available to play on-line , the jackpot, numbers and match three winners is all available also on this website.  




U-16s: The Duggan Coaches sponsored U-16 team are scheduled to play St Faithleachs in the next round of the Division 1 championship this Wednesday evening in Ballyleague at 7.30 pm.

U-14s: Following a disappointing defeat to Clann na nGael in the Division 1 championship on Thursday last in Johnstown, the Homewatch sponsored U-14 team will be looking to make amends when they play Clann again in the play-offs this Tuesday. Players will be notified of full details in advance of the game. On Monday of last week, the Division 4 team lost narrowly in the league at home to St Michaels. Final score: St Michaels 2-11, St Brigid’s 2-7. The Division 4 team also have a championship play-off against St Croans on Thursday next.

U-12s: Hard luck to the Millmount sponsored U-14s who lost to Boyle in the Division 1 championship final recently. Despite having a number of key players missing, the team showed great fight until the finish. Training continues at usual times as the players now prepare for the resumption of the league in August.

U-10s: The Sheraton Hotel sponsored U-10s are scheduled to play St Dominic's and Tubberclair in the Clann na nGael tournament this week. Players will be notified of full details.

U-8s: The O’Rourke Fireplaces sponsored U-8s took part in another successful Go Games Blitz on Saturday last in Knockcroghery. They faced teams from host club St Dominic's, Clann na nGael, Roscommon Gaels and St Ciaran's.
