Zumba Classes

Zumba classes continue this Thursday in the clubhouse for both men and women from 8-9pm. Classes costs €50 for 7 classes. Everyone is welcome to come along. 

 

Club Rossies

Club Rossie is a sub-group of the County Board which has been given responsibility for raising money for Roscommon Gaelic Games. In order to do so Club Rossie has set up various membership options for anyone wishing to support their county. The different membership options are detailed below and membership can be purchased from any St. Brigid's club executive member or online at clubrossie.ie. Please make sure to put St. Brigid’s down as your club when buying membership abroad or online.

Handball

Handball training is on every Sunday in Curraghboy handball complex and every Friday in St Brigids club Hall.

11Yrs to 13Yrs - Boys and Girls, 12 Noon to 1pm (Curraghboy handball complex) 

11Yrs to 13Yrs - Boys and Girls, 7 – 8:30 (Fridays only – one wall - St Brigids club Hall) 

 

Please note that Handball goggles must be worn by all participating. New members always welcome. 

There will be a break for Easter and handball will resume on Sunday 27th April 2014

Training

Training continues for all grades from U8s to Senior. Players will be notified of any changes to normal training times. We are always welcoming new members. Training schedules or further information on St. Brigids Ladies GAA contact 086 0876933.

Training for U 14 and U 16 girls continueson Tuesday evening at 7:30 at pitch.
Training for U 12 girls continue on Thursday evening at 8 at the clubhouse.
Training for U8s & U10s continues on Monday evening at 6.30 at clubhouse.

Minor and Senior Training from 8.30 on Saturday in clubhouse.

 

Team photographs

The Ladies Committee is aiming to put photographs of all winning Ladies teams down through the years on the clubhouse wall. Anyone who may be able to help with information on winning teams or may have photographs of relevant teams is asked to contact ladies Committee Chairman Tomás Beades.

The senior ladies continued their league campaign with a victory over Western Gaels in Frenchpark on Saturday last. Despite not having a full strength squad the ladies played well and secured victory. Next up the girls face Clan na nGael on Easter Monday time tbc.

U-14s: The U-14s got their league season off to a winning start when accounting for Roscommon Gaels in Lisnamult last Thursday on a scoreline of 4-15 to 2-8. Team and scorers v  Roscommon Gaels: James Downes, Luke Griselain, Darragh Murray, Gary Daly (1-0), Mark Haran, Adam Murtagh, Ciaran Quinn, Shane Cunnane, Billy McDonnell (0-2), Ian O’Rourke (1-4), Ciaran Sugrue (0-3), Danny McDermott (0-1), Tom O’ Carroll (0-2), Jack Schouler, Robbie Dolan (1-1). Kellogg’s GAA Football and Hurling Cúl Camps : Applications are invited from third level students, who have experience in coaching underage players, to apply for coaching positions on Kellogg’s GAA Football and Hurling Cúl Camps in the county this summer.
