Club Draw

The Club are running a Christmas Draw with tickets costing €10. Great prizes including a European City break. All prizes are very kindly sponsored by our main club sponsor The Hodson Bay Hotel. The €10 also gives the buyer a ticket for the National GAA draw with a number of great prizes.
A 2 FOR 1 DRAW.
To make the draw a successful one we need as many supporters as possible to sell books of tickets, 5 tickets per book. A number of members are distributing books of tickets so expect a call! Additional books can be got from any Executive member. Your support as always is much appreciated.

Operation Transformation

The official weigh in takes place on Monday 5th January between 8-10pm.  Only the individual will be told their own weight and will be allocated a random number so no one will know anyone else’s starting weight.  Also it will be the total group weight loss given on a weekly basis.  Copies of weekly diet and exercise plans will be printed and distributed. Also it is proposed that the group would meet each week night at 8pm to partake in a group walk around the track and perhaps on one night a week some circuit training or zumba may be held.
If you are interested in taking part please come along and join us on the club walking track at 8pm each week night.  Even if you want to get fit this is an ideal opportunity to do this and meet new people.

The Club AGM

The club's annual general meeting took place on Saturday last in the clubhouse. It was well attended and while some executive members stepped down from positions there are a few new faces to the executive.

Chairperson; Michael McDonnell, Vice-Chairperson: John O'Rourke, Secretary: Andrew Harran, Assistant Secretary: Eddie Nestor, Treasurer: P.J. Martin, PRO: Áine Martin, Registrar: Ann Marie Murtagh, Chairperson of Adult Football: Tommy Dolan, Chairperson of Minor Football: Seamus Gallagher, Chairperson of Ladies Football: Tomas Beades, Chairperson of Finance: Martin Curran, Chairperson of Development: Tom Blaine,Chairperson of Parks: John Daly, Chairperson of Coaching: John Stack, Chairperson of Social and Well Being: Marie Donnellan.

While some positions have not been filled we are confident that there are people willing to take up these roles. We would like to extend our gratitude to the outgoing members of the executive committee and wish the incoming members the best of luck in their new positions.

We would also like to give a special word of thanks to Pat Dennehy. Pat stepped down as chairman of the Parks committee last year after fifty years of service in various roles on St. Brigid's executive committee. Pat was appointed vice president of the club last year and still remained involved in the club's lotto, where he was one of our best sellers. Unfortunately this year Pat has had to retire from the lotto also. As we all know Pat is a stalwart of St. Brigid's and despite retiring from club activities he is sure to still be a regular and well known face in St. Brigid's be it at matches or club functions. Best wishes with your retirement Pat.
