U16 Boys

St. Brigid’s 4-7, Clann na nGael 2-7.

Our U16 Div 4 lads took on Clann na Gael in the league semi finals last Tuesday evening in Johnstown. On a perfect evening for football and two teams who had drawn earlier in the league the stage was set. With the game played from the off at high intensity scores were hard earned. We led at half time by 4points as a result of 2 clinical finishes by James Rourke.
The second half there was a bit more space to be found and both teams used the foot more which was great to see. Gavin Daly, Hughie Cunniffe and Daniel Keenan came into their own during this half and we weathered the pressure in the last few minutes well by a resurgent Clann team. Ronan Doyle was man of the match with a complete performance throughout. We won on a final scoreline of 4/7 to 2/7
Team was Jack Ryan, Adam Samuels, James Rourke, Ultan O Rourke, Luke O Rourke, Thomas O Brien, Daniel Meeley, Daniel Keenan, Liam Hennelly, James Halpin, Harry Griselain, Michael Dillon, Kevin Derwin, Gavin Daly, Ronan Doyle, Shane Daly, Jamie Curley, Hughie Cunniffe, Fergal Cunniffe
